Banana Bliss Roll Cake: A Sweet Celebration

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cake:
      • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper and lightly grease the paper.

     

    • In a large bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar until thick and pale, about 5 minutes. Add vanilla extract.
    • Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture until just combined.
    1. Make the Banana Cream Filling:
      • In a chilled bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in the mashed bananas.
    2. Prepare the Caramel Filling:
      • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, heavy cream, butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Cook, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Allow to cool slightly.
  1. Assemble the Roll Cake:
    • Carefully unroll the cooled cake. Spread the banana cream filling evenly over the cake, leaving a small border around the edges. Drizzle some of the caramel filling over the banana cream.
