HOMEMADE PICO DE GALLO

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1 small white or red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, finely chopped (you can adjust the amount depending on your spiciness preference)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

In a large bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped onion, jalapeno pepper, and fresh cilantro.

Squeeze the lemon juice over the ingredients in the bowl. The amount of lemon juice can be adjusted according to your preference.

Add salt to taste and mix all ingredients well until well combined.

Taste and adjust the salt and spiciness level as needed.

Refrigerate the pico de gallo for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.

Serve pico de gallo as a side for tacos, quesadillas, nachos, grilled meats or any other favorite Mexican dish.
