JAM FILLED COOKIES

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups of wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Jam of your choice (strawberry, raspberry, apricot, etc.)

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and creamy.

Add the vanilla extract and continue beating until well incorporated.

Gradually add the flour to the butter and sugar mixture, mixing until a soft, homogeneous dough forms.

Take small portions of dough and form them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie.

Use your thumb or the end of a spoon to make a well in the center of each cookie.

Fill each well with a small amount of jam, about 1/2 teaspoon.

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the cookies are completely cool, store them in an airtight container to maintain their freshness.
