Add butter, light brown sugar, salt, and 2 cups flour and mix on medium speed until a sticky dough comes together.

Add remaining flour 1/4 cup at a time until dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl while mixing.

Transfer to a greased bowl and let rest for 20 minutes.

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Spray parchment paper with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.

Punch down the dough and cut dough into 8 pieces.

Roll each piece into a long rope and shape into a pretzel twist.

Place on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the egg.

Bake for 10-12 minutes. Brush pretzels with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse salt
