STRAWBERRY FROSE

FROSE INGREDIENT NOTES

The steps to make are simple; the ingredients are even simpler! Here are a few tricks of mine to make sure your strawberry frosé slush experience sings.

  • Fruit: I, of course, adore strawberries in this frose recipe, but if you have another type of frozen fruit on hand, go for it! Raspberries, blueberries, and pineapple are other great choices.
  • Rose: The type of rose you use doesn’t matter — just choose your favorite brand! I also sometimes swap it up by using sparkling rose. It gives the final frose an extra burst of fanciness!
  • Chambord: The additional alcohols in this recipe are what give it such a well-rounded flavor — and punch! Chambord especially is a drink you might not have worked with before, but it’s well worth the investment for the deep blackberry flavor it brings!
  • Break out your pool chairs — it’s time for my strawberry frose recipe! It’s SUMMER when the drinks are chilled and the cocktail recipes have fruit-filled flavors. And what better way to welcome in this time than with the wine slushie wonder known as frose? Frozen fruit blended with your favorite rose wine makes for a refreshing hot weather beverage.

    TOOLS TO MAKE FROSE

Believe it or not, there are only two — yes, TWO — tools you need in your quest to figure out how to make frosé in a blender!

    • Ice cube trays for freezing your rose
    • Blender for mixing it all up

The blender really can’t be substituted for anything else — you could try to use a food processor, but you won’t get as smooth a blend on the ice. Go for a nice, high-quality blender

  • 1. Start by freezing your rose in ice cube trays overnight.

2-7. When you’re ready to serve, blend the ice, frozen strawberries, water, lemon vodka, Chambord, and sugar until it’s reduced enough to make room for the cubes of rose.

    8. Add the rose, blend until smooth, pour into your most fun summer glasses, and serve!

    STORING + FREEZING

    • How Long Can You Keep This In The Fridge? Since it’s more of a slushie than a smoothie, treat your frosé like any other melty ice treat — and only leave it in the fridge for a day or two! The ice and other frozen bits will melt the longer they’re out of the freezer, so your frosé will quickly become just another cocktail. Which will still be delicious! Just won’t have that texture we all love.
    • Can You Freeze This? YES! Your frosé LOVES the freezer. If you have more than you drink, at the end of your party, pour into small containers and freeze for up to a full year.
      • When you want to indulge again, simply blend up your frozen frosé!
    • Make Ahead Tips: You can always make the full frosé ahead of time and store in the freezer until ready, but this recipe is SO easy and SO quick that you should have no problem making it fresh every time!
