Whatever you do to cook your chicken–grill, slow cooker, pressure cooker, baked in the oven, or just leftover from other meals–this big list of sandwiches, salads, pastas and casseroles will jazz up your menu plan.

How do you get “leftover chicken?”

Here are some of my favorite ways to use leftover chicken. When we make chicken whole, or even just breasts, there is usually some leftover.

It’s easy to keep this cooked chicken in the fridge to use later in the week. You can leave it whole, or dice it. If I’m not quick enough to use it up, my husband will make sour cream and onion chicken salad, one of his favorites.

Cooked chicken breasts or thighs go great in a ton of different recipes, and it’s so easy to heat up that the kids can do their own lunches and dinners from it when there’s a lot going on.

Why use up these leftovers?

These recipes will help you use up that cooked chicken before it goes bad. That’s going to save you money!

I hate seeing food go to waste so these recipes really come in handy in our house too. Sticking to our budget is a must and when I have to throw food out it’s like throwing money away.
